Architectural signs are designed for both aesthetics and function, with function being foremost. This means language simplicity, readability and position are most important to their core purpose. Because they are an integrated part of facility design, architectural signs are often treated as a more permanent installation than other signs. As a result, they can be made from a variety of strong materials, from stainless steel to wood, as a stand-alone sign or part of a comprehensive sign system.
